Slips is a local-first flashcard studio for creating, reviewing, importing, exporting, and printing study decks directly in the browser. It is designed to keep the study loop small and portable: bring in a JSON deck, work through it in the browser, and take the deck with you when it is time to study somewhere else.
The review mode is built for quick sessions, with interactive flip cards that work across desktop and mobile screens. When digital review is not the right fit, the print view turns the same deck into a two-column A4 layout for cutting out physical cards.
A deliberately local workflow
There is no account or backend behind Slips. Decks and theme preferences stay in browser storage, while JSON import and export keep the content portable between tools and devices. That keeps the app quick and private, with one practical trade-off: exported backups are important when moving to another browser or device.

- Import or drop a JSON deck onto the page.
- Edit cards and manage multiple decks from the sidebar.
- Flip cards to reveal answers and explanations.
- Switch between light and dark mode with multiple accent themes.
- Print a selected deck as two-column A4 flashcards.
- Export the deck when it needs to travel.
